Bejan coined "constructal" from Latin construere — to pile together. He named the recursive process while presenting it as a law about outcomes. The observation is correct. The postulate may be an epicycle.
A conjecture — the second law applied to its own rate of entropy production — connects Odum, Prigogine, and Bejan as iterations of one recursion. Whether that's derivation or pattern recognition is the question this post can name but not answer.
The second law guarantees the destination but is silent on the rate. That silence — the transient where structure, life, and intelligence operate — is where everything interesting lives.
Constraints are real and impedance matching is clean math. But ask why maximum-power configurations exist and three answers each smuggle the observer back in.
